I just tried out my new Titan F6 for the first time and I had a lot of trouble getting the bar to my chest... I actually never did. I was close but not quite and it is very tight. I was using 600lbs. Will this eventually break in if I keep at it? Any tips?
On a side note... my opener on June 22 will be over 500 if I get this d**n shirt dialed in.

Help is on the way.If you can make it to Parkwest Gym this Thursday at 7 pm you can grab a workout with us[Lunchmeat and Mellonhead]Trevor opened at 572 at the Nationals so you should be using about the same poundages. If I can get Trevor or if you have a video camera bring it and we can film the workout. We usually work bench on Thursday and then go out to watch Trevor eat.Easiest way to break in the shirt is just to go down the boards, IE 3/2/1/full bench.June 22 is a fair ways away so you have lots of time.I'm not sure were you live but if can make it in any day ,I am sure we can get a workout in.Think it is important you work in a power rack with safety pins just in case you get stuck or do the classic back flip toward your face. Harvey.

The first time I used a fury I couldn't touch either, the shirt will stretch and you should get more comfortable every time you're in it. I had a the problem of the shirt flattening me out when I got the bar close to the chest I was told that pressing down hard with the heels will help to keep the your chest up. Did you have the shirt pulled down in the front and where did you have the seams on the arms lined up? Those two things can tighten the shirt up and make it harder to touch.

Thanks guys... Harv I have an armwrestling meet this weekend in Red Deer and work evenings all next week. Possibly the week after. I will use the shirt the week I get back also and post the result here.
Is Trevor competing on June 22?

We always seem to work harder with a bigger bench crew.I think Ryan can't make it but we would be happy to have you, benching with us if it works for you. Harvey

Ryan,If Thursday is free I would say come on down and we will just try and get the shirt seated and skip the actual pressing or just do some 3 boards. Not sure if an actual bench session would hinder you in the arm wrestling except you will likely get some terrific scarring from the tightness of the shirt which may intimidate your opponents arm wrestling. Either way,if you give us a later date we can work it out.Trevor has the restrictions due to work but I am usually free.If we could tie it in with Ed coming to town we could really get a good rotation going with four people.I know if we go to Perkins afterwords we should get the super size bulk discount.By the way,do you like pancakes? Mellonhead may actually do the 3 lifts in June as I conned him into buying a new squat suit at the Nationals. He will be lifting so it should be a terrific contest between the two of you. This is a little long winded, but if you need help just ask. Harv

Harvey and Trevor are putting in a lot more time in the shirts these days than almost anyone else around here so their advice is from experience.
You should leave the shirt higher in the front and use the higher boards to get the feel for it. Then work your way down to a 1 board press. If you can hit the #1 board with ease you should be able to touch to the shirt.
- Keep your shoulder blades squeezed tightly together as this will keep your upper back tight and your chest high.
- Maintain a solid arch with your feet, butt, shoulders and head on the bench.
- Tuck your elbows in tight to your body and row the bar to your sternum. That will keep you tight and help to control the bar and keep it from jumping back over your face.
- As Harv mentioned re the above; do the heavy benches in the power rack with the pins set to save your face (literally).
- Once you can touch comfortably you can start torqueing the shirt to get more out of it. That means you really pull up on the back collar and pull down on the front collar which will give you more spring out of the hole (also makes it harder to touch but by your third attempt you are going for it anyway).
I can always join the session to help get the shirt on or we could have a bench session here at the HHG.

HHG is about as close to me as you guys get... although Park West Fitness is also close.
Any chance you guys want to do something on the 26th or 27th (Mon, Tues)?

Hi Ryan I'll check with Trevor's schedule at work.We normally bench every 7 days but we were thinking after today's workout of going to 5 days so that we could get a week off before the contest.Sooo Monday or Tuesday next week would be fine.HHG doesn't have safety pins so Parkwest is the place as I've been hurt 3 times dropping weights. We were going to switch next week so I'll get back to you once Trevor sees his work schedule. Think we have the makings of a great contest as we have the potential of having the first two Manitobans to bench 600 lbs if all goes well.I'll stick my neck out and say I'll try the IPF Masters 3 World Record in the 3 lift bench portion as well.If Ed is reading this could you make it down.Brock you are most welcome plus as an International ref your calls on form would be most welcome.I'm thinking a press release re the 600 mark might get a few new members out. Well got to close because at my age I get tired easily[just kidding] Harv

Pin it down boys. Monday or Tuesday? I really want to help big sweaty guys into tight shirts . Not really. It would be awesome however to see the two biggest benchers in MB go "bench to bench". To bad we couldn't convince Mr. Leudy to participate.

Harvey, Harvey, Harvey ..........I have a Power Rack with Safety pins. How do you think I do all my Benches alone? Mrs McLifter can't spot me with 100kg never mind 190 +! I Bench alone (Imagine the George Thorogood song "I drink Alone" at this point) and I need to be sure I can make it to work the next day not to mention my other husbandly duties. So, I set the bench in the power rack and set the pins to save my neck and I bench in safety.
Tuesday the 27th would be better for me as my Mondays are very hectic and crazy.

If Tuesday is best for Brock,Ryan does this suit you?If this works for you two then will see if Trevor is okay or can make arrangements and Ed if it fits let us know.Would like to use Parkwest just because we have the heights already worked out for Trevor,Ed and myself.Ryan because of his height will probably require some fiddling.Bob if your are coming down think about benching as well. Can you guys get back to the board on the Tuesday date. Harvey
