Joe I think the 2xl will work fine for you. To add to the advice... When squatting look up slightly. I pick a focal point in the room and keep my eyes focused on that while I do the reps. I too squat in front of a mirror but I am looking at something above me in the reflection (if you understand what I am getting at). Work on your shoulder flexibility as this will prevent injuries and help you get your hands inside the collars. Sit back into the squat (start with pushing your hips back), when you hit your depth, push your knees out and drive your hips through to finish the lift. You have a ton of strength there and will be able to move some real nice numbers. Have you tried box squats? If not the idea is to construct a box that will put the top of your thigh at the hip joint 1" below parallel with your normal stance when you squat onto the box. What that does is help your body to get used to the groove and the depth you need when in a contest. Also, full squats should be breaking parallel anyway. If you make the trip to da 'Peg in February we will fill your head with too much information and tell you how great Harv was back in the day. But, you will learn something from us no matter how dysfunctional we are! Keep up the good work! McLifter

Thanks for the pointers Brock, I will order a couple 2XL singlets and see how they fit. I have done box Squats before using a 10" box. Perhaps I will construct something 10"-12" high, I guess I will have to measure for fit eh?
