Just really starting out so not doing much.Did get a pair of weightlifting shoes from Joe in Transcona[Power Firm]Turns out he is the fellow that did the drug testing for CCES at our second last meet.Very good shoe by the way.Going to spend about 2 months just on technique as am going to change the way I squat and deadlift quite a bit.Needed a higher heel so that is why I switched to a real weightlifting shoe.Changing even the bar height that I take the weight off the rack as I want to set up on using only 2 steps.Even taking a hard look at how I wrap my knees as I don't think that I am getting the most out of the wraps. Also going the get a wrap roller as it should also help.At my age I don,t think I can really get much stronger so I think the easiest way to improve is with improved technique and form and better use of gear. Not too concerned what I do at the Westerns as I am really just trying to get a big bench but for November I would like to have the squat and deadlift looking good atleast technique wise. You had a comment about supplements. My one thought is that you should keep your protein up to atleast 125 grams a day and if you are cycling I would recommend creatine for about 4 weeks at a time.I use a whole lot of other stuff, but that is just because I like doing it. Well have to go cut the lawn before it rains.Honestly I never thought of it but on Saturdays I have cut the lawn and then gone to workout and I have had some very good workouts. Harv
