How's the bench coming?
If you do go for the benchpress, are you planning on using a shirt? If you are, you may want to start looking at how the shirt works and maybe coming into town for a workout in one, just to aclimatize yourself.
I'm pretty certain if we talk nicely to McLifter, you (we) can all get together over at Haywood's Hardcore (HHG) for some "fun and games".
Just a thought.

Espey have you registered yet and does your workplace give you any support? There might be two of us going from DCC, I'm looking into the kind of support management would be willing to give us if any.

I am back doing touch & go with 500... and I have ordered myself a shirt & singlet from Titan... but I ordered it from the USA so it is going to take a while.
I have registered for the events already. My workplace gives me NO support. I won the armwrestling at the World Police & Fire Games in 2001 and got no acknowledgment at all. I even tried MGEU and got no response.

What kind of shirt did you order? I'm going to be approaching senior management to see if we can can get any support, I don't have high hopes but I'll try.

Support is hard to come by but keep knocking on those doors. Eventually you will find a sympathetic ear. Try looking at it from their point of view and think about how their sponsorship of you will have benefits for them. If you can think of a few, use those as part of your pitch. We all get solicited for money but, if you can't give them something for it besides a tax write off it gets harder to get the wallets open. OH! We will have to give you a hand with that shirt when it comes for sure. Work on your arch as the F6 is made for benchers with a big arch (it just works better for them). Drop me an e-mail in the future and we can work something out for a Saturday. McLifter
