The next competition has been set. It will be the Portage Strength Classic in Portage la Prairie. The entry form is on the MPA Facebook page, the MPA website and the CPU website. The meet will be on June 20th. If you do not intend to lift please consider volunteering as some of you are beginning to realize; the volunteers make the meet happen.
Train smart and we will see you in Portage.

Hi Brock, I don't see the link for the entry form on the cpu website, unless I'm missing the obvious. Where it says MS Word or Adobe PDF they arent hyperlinks. It is on the MPA website i saw. I should be good to load/spot for this event.

That'd be great to have you help out Ryan thanks! Consider yourself volunteered! Why not compete?

That'd be great to have you help out Ryan thanks! Consider yourself volunteered! Why not compete? I'll be competing at one in the fall most likely. Hopefully there's another prairie classic or 17 wing meet. I want to give myself at least an 8 week "off season" program after nationals plus an 8 week meet prep.

You are correct Ryan the links are not active even though I sent the information to Mike. It is on the MPA website but I will ask Mike to provide a link to the entry forms.

All right boys and girls. My first meet back in Manitoba will be the Portage Strength Classic. I have recently purchased a Super Katana Bench Shirt and I would like take it for a ride. Do MPA members still get together for training? If so when, and where? Thanks in advance.

Getting ready to fill out the PC entry form. I see that all IPF rules apply. I had thought that the CPU was still allowing belts (assuming they met the criteria other than brand) formerly allowed until the end of the year. Do I need to get a new one for this meet? Thanks

I dont believe you do as long as it meets specs until 2016. Brock can you confirm this?

The CPU will begin to enforce the rules regarding the belts on January 1, 2016. As long as your belt satisfies the dimensions in the rule book it will be acceptable.
