As above I reinjured my right shoulder and then went on to give the right knee grief with some squatting and snowshoeing. However that said I have ramped up my sled work( actually now a bigger truck tire with 9 rocks in it) and after months of rehab started pressing 2 x week 1 OHP 1 3 board. This on top of actually getting under 260 and staying there. So happy to be able to still train, green with envy of those who train smart enough to still compete at my age (58) and hoping to get some of my pressing strength back.

Hey it`s gonna snow again!!!! Doing 2 Tire Drag WO`s a week varying the distance but always leaving a little gas in the tank. Here is funny story. Raining and cold out to Tire Drag. My 22 year old has just started back in the gym ( I am happy about that ). Comes home from work jumps into the harness makes a few struggling steps and proclaims it is too hard. I jump in and do 100 backward then 100 forward steps. He is impressed. He is now determined to get some leg strength of his own. It was wet and pulled hard but hey the old man did it.

Yesterday out Brock and Sue`s to celebrate Brocks 55th. Nice gathering Brock schooled us on Farmers walks, Keg pressing, Rock carrying, Atlas stone and sheave tossing. With rubber boot toss for height and distance for the kiddies. I did manage an 80 meter walk with 132 per hand that was not bested. Robert Snow`s 14 year old son Liam carried 88 per hand for 60 meters well over half his body weight for each hand ( I`d guess he is about 140) so he was easily the winner though. Thanks to Brock and Sue and son Mark for the good food good company and as always wonderful hospitality at Haywood's Haven. I did challenge Rob Snow to a Farmers Walk with each of us carrying half of our body weight in each hand while he is away and far the strongest of us both I will give him a run for his money in the FW. So we will have to try to get together again later in the fall. Any body else working the Farmers walk in their program?
