The HHG is in a state of flux right now. I have to put down some sub-floor before laying the rubber mats down and arranging the gym. Thus far I haven't done any weights besides the aerobic activity of loading them on my truck, and unloading them and carrying everything to the basement at the new and improved location for the HHG in the Interlake. I have had plenty of exploratory walks on the property. This is very invigorating and much to my enjoyment. ;D McLifter

Monday June 22/09I'mmmmm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKK! Yes, after a lengthy lay off of at least 1.5 months I have picked up a weight with the intention of doing something with it other than moving it to a new location. It wasn't much of a work out but just something to get the blood flowing and to start the process of waking up the sleeping muscles. {Band Assist Chins (Green Band): 4 x 5 {Dips: 4 x 5 {OH Squat: 20 x 3 x 5 {Push ups: 3 x 10 Squat: 20 x 5 60 x 3 x 5 Standing Ab Crunches: 40kg x 2 x 30 Short and sweet for now. First I must say; Heavy rock is not my favorite music. I would much prefer to listen to some smooth jazz. As the head judge, I had to sit right in the middle of two giant speakers. I found out a 1/2 hour after the meet ended; that they had earplugs at the front table. As much as I dislike rock (loud music) ; every so often, I would catch myself tapping to the music. You could see the energy flowing through the lifters. I actually didn't mind the music. I would rather have like the music turned down a notch. Next time I will look for the earplugs. Some people call me a blind judge . I guess I could add deaf judge to that. Maybe now I can be a Special O lifter. ;D Bert

Friday Jun 26/09Light Keg Press: 4 x 10 Heavy Keg C&P: (70kg) - 1 It was too much given my current strength level. Interesting to see how fast this comes back Light Keg Rows: 2 x 8 Heavy Keg Rows: 3 x 5 I did the same with a rock in the field earlier in the day. Bert, I thought all of us Refs were like the three monkeys.....hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil. I like it when they turn down the music too. If it's too loud for too long it just makes us old farts grumpier and the tendency to throw more red lights is always a possibility... McLifter
