I am going to start a training log on here since I will be competing in Manitoba meets soon. I signed up for the Brickhouse meet in February. I am only doing bench single lift, I have adapted my routine to focus on bench press since it is by far my best lift. Hopefully you can follow my log as I try to get a record breaking raw bench.
November 29, 2016:

I was scheduled to do squats today but I am totally exhausted. I even had to force yesterday's session.
Early bedtime tonight and hopefully the energy comes back for tomorrow. Squats must be done, I don't want to be "that guy" that skips leg day.
Just listening to my body, not my schedule...

140 kg +/- I haven't weighed myself since my last meet... September 3rd.
My last meet: 310-250-310 @ 142.6 kg (All meet PRs)

For the record this was a sub-par workout. I've been feeling a muscle tear in my upper pec/shoulder last couple weeks. I am thinking I will take it easy, especially on accessories now through the holidays. I don't need an injury now, 1 1/2 months out from the meet.

Good news. No pain, the muscle tear should be healed thanks to the extra rest days. All reps were slow and paused. Driving to Ignace, ON today, Winnipeg tomorrow and The Pas Christmas Eve. Hopefully I get to the gym while I am up there. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!

P.S. Yes Brock we had a good drive. We left Christmas Eve to head north and just missed the winter storm. I was surprised to see the snow when we got back, Northern Manitoba got hardly any snow at all!

Fighting a bad cold right now, I guess I got a virus for Christmas. All my muscles feel dry and weak. I need to recover quick, bad time to get sick, one month away from the meet. Last cold I had took me 3 weeks to shake off and took another 2 months to gain what I lost. Oh well.
